Players explore the vast city of Neverwinter and its surrounding countryside, learning the vivid history of the iconic city and battling its many enemies. In Neverwinter, players can create their own quests and campaigns with the Foundry, a powerful content creation tool that allows players to seamlessly integrate their adventures in to the live game world.
They might not be the most pleasant-looking creatures, but they are definitely a fierce bunch of savage and bloodthirsty warriors. By plaguing the civilized races, Orcs have always been a major threat to humans, elves and dwarfs. Laying claim to the area in the northern half of the old Tower District, Orcs have made the Cloak Tower in Neverwinter Astral Diamonds their home.
Even the most courageous heroes will have to fight their way through the ruins of this district to put an end to the Orc domination and help restore Neverwinter to her former glory.
Neverwinter’s 22nd module, Dragonbone Vale, will launch for PC (Arc Games, Epic Games Store and Steam) on January 11 and on PlayStation and Xbox consoles on February 8, 2022.
The upcoming update for the free-to-play Dungeons & Dragons MMORPG will have adventurers return to the Sword Coast to stop Valindra Shadowmantle and the Cult of the Dragon as they plan to bring undeath to dragons across Faer?n and beyond.
Along with a new campaign, the module will introduce a new adventure zone, brand-new grappling hook traversal mechanics that have never been available before in Neverwinter, a new 10-player trial featuring the grand return of Valindra, new heroic encounters, an Enchantment and Refinement overhaul and more.
Additionally, another new content update will bring a new epic adventure, Scaleblight Mythal, which will soon be available for players to experience the ending of the Dragonbone Vale story, and offer a new massive neighborhood to explore. Adventurers will have access to this content on PC beginning February 8 and on consoles starting March 8.
In Dragonbone Vale, the evil moon elf lich Valindra Shadowmantle has returned to threaten the Sword Coast alongside the Cult of the Dragon, who have gathered in the Sword Mountains as they plan to invoke the Rite of the Dracolich to bring undeath to dragons across Faer?n and beyond. To make it to the Scaleblight Summit and stop the Cult of the Dragon once and for all, adventurers, alongside the Heroes of Neverwinter and allied forces, will need to make their way through the four distinct neighborhoods of the Sword Mountains.
For the first time ever in Neverwinter, players will be able to zip around specific, designated areas of the Dragonbone Vale adventure zone with a new grappling hook, making exploration even faster and more epic than ever before. At the beginning of the module’s campaign, players will be given this tool to equip and explore all the areas the zone has to offer, with select areas offering story events and rewards. Players who are looking for a deadly challenge can take on Valindra and the bronze dracolich, Palhavorithyn, in a new 10-player trial, The Crown of Keldegonn, and complete new heroic encounters to earn various rewards. Additionally, this module will include an Enchantment and Refinement overhaul that will bring new quality of life improvements and all-new enchantments.
The latest major update for the free-to-play MMORPG set in the Forgotten Realms brings Neverwinter players back to the mystical land of Sharandar -- originally introduced in the first Neverwinter module, Fury of the Feywild -- where they’ll experience a completely revamped and re-visualized world. Each episode introduces new features to Sharandar, including a brand-new social hub, new story content, re-imagined adventure zones to explore, new enemies to fight, a new end-game dungeon, and more!
In Neverwinter: Sharandar, an unsettling darkness creeps across the Feywild and the age-old elven stronghold of Sharandar. Brutish creatures kill any foolish enough to enter the lands once held by Malabog the Fomorian King. Deep in the forest, rumors of an ancient fey being, together with scattered bands of Malabog’s minions, seek to conquer Sharandar and seize its arcane secrets.
The story of Neverwinter: Sharandar is experienced over three episodes. The first episode, The Iron Tooth launches February 9 on PC and March 9 on console. Adventurers are sent to the Ruins of Malabog to investigate the disappearance of an elven dignitary. This episode introduces new and returning players to the Feywild lands of Sharandar, in which they’ll find the New Sharandar social hub, the Ruins of Malabog Adventure Zone, and the Vault of Stars dungeon, along with epic rewards.
The next two episodes, Episode 2: The Soul Keeper and Episode 3: The Odious Court, continue the story of Neverwinter: Sharandar at a later date. Players have the chance to experience the transformation of Sharandar as they take on the sinister new threat revealed in the first episode and push back the darkness. More details, including features, for these episodes will be revealed soon.
Neverwinter is available on PC and is free to play digitally on Xbox One (with Xbox Live Gold) and PS4 (PlayStation Plus not required).
